Increasing access to Sexual and Gender Based Violence information and services.

One of the grants we received in quick succession last year was for our Open Arms project funded by Grand Challenges Canada. The project is an adaptive triage service for Sexual and Gender-Based Violence response, information, counseling, and referral services through mobile technology. The project aims to provide access to quality SGBV information and services by prioritizing the needs of the vulnerable and marginalized members of the community.

To launch our activities, ARDA was on Lagos Television (LTV) to speak on Gender Based Violence and access to justice. Our Senior project officer, Tawakalit Kareem spoke on the uniqueness of the open arms project and what other stakeholders can do to reduce the endemic of GBV in our society today.
